O meu diário do Porto is a diary from my scholarship stay in Porto (Portugal) where I spent one semester (except for Christmas 2007). It is a nonlinear story of searching and finding of one‘s identity far away from home, far away from all ties and relationships which one is encircled with in his or her native country.
I wished to capture the everyday life of a stay in an environment uprooted from the context of the so-called ordinary life. Homesickness, getting to know new “friends“, infiltration of an unfamiliar environment, breaking the language barrier and confrontation with such parts of my inner self which had been hidden deep under the layers of familiar consciousness.

Besides the book, there is a number of little authorial prints and posters as well as some oter stuff (such as family portraits or a stuffed handmade animal)creating a small instalation.
The print-out is carried out by the technique of seriography on materials, which accompanied me during my entire stay abroad: daily newspapers, handouts and brochures, food packaging.
A also made-up a limited B1 poster collection out of the scans of silkscreenprints.
